An Ego Killer of a poem

Hi there.

Today I’m sharing a poem that I consider one of the centerpieces of a poetry chapbook I’ve been working on and preparing to publish. Titled Ego Killers, the collection will focus on poems striving towards transpersonal realization as part of a universal consciousness. I’m talking about those experiences where you truly feel connected to the rest of the world in your awe — not to mention all the emotional and autobiographical baggage you have to go through to get there. I could explain further, but explanation is a bit beside the point in these states. Better to get an impression from the poem that follows.

This month, I’ll be self-publishing Ego Killers through Lulu. It’ll be available for online order there, with links shared on this and all my other outlets — Substack, Instagram, even a burgeoning Shopify page. For Eugene-area residents, I’ll also be selling hard copies in-person at open mics or farmers markets I perform at or vend. The summer debut will be this June 21st from 5–9 p.m. at Lost Valley’s Summer Solstice Farmers’s Market. Not enough? I’ll even write you a poem for hire and give you a foraging and forest bathing tour ($25–40 sliding scale) of the grounds the next morning! What a deal, right?! What more could anyone ask for?
